Pepper spray used in hotel robbery
Toronto police are looking for a suspect after a robbery involving pepper spray at a hotel early Saturday morning.
Police say a man entered the lobby of the Quality Suites hotel on Islington Avenue near Highway 401 and demanded cash.
Staff members say it appeared the suspect tried to fire a gun, but no shots were fired. He did manage to discharge pepper spray into the lobby.
One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The suspect managed to make off with some cash.
He is described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old and about 5 feet 8 inches.
